Packing for your Visit
At Harrison Hot Springs Resort & SpaSM, always pack your bathing suit in order to enjoy any one of our five natural mineral hot spring pools.
spring
Late March through early June, the average daily temperature ranges from 12ºC / 54ºF to 20ºC / 70ºF. The flowers are blossoming and the days warm up as we get closer to summer. Pack for cooler and possibly wet days in early spring, bring a jacket and sweater. As spring becomes summer, lighter shirts, shorts and suntan lotion are in order.
The Resort Marina opens in May, if activities on Harrison Lake such as fishing and boating are of interest, bring a windbreaker.
Summer
From late June through mid September the temperature ranges from 20ºC / 70ºF in early summer, peaking in July and August at 24ºC / 80ºF and then cooling off very slightly with sunny but shorter days in September.
Pack your summer attire and any clothes you may need to enjoy the many activities available, from hiking to canoeing to sightseeing.
Fall
With the change of colours come crisp days and cooler nights, temperatures in late September and early October averages about 15ºC / 60ºF but start dropping through mid October to 9ºC / 58ºF and into November and December to 6ºC / 42ºF.
The weather turns damp so pack a rain jacket and waterproof footwear to ensure that you can get out and enjoy walks through the lush west coast rainforest. Outside, the pools are nice and warm from the neck down and inside, the fire is on to help you warm up after an invigorating day in the Harrison Hot Springs area.
Winter
Mid December through early January, the average daily temperature hovers about 5ºC / 40ºF and starts to climb in the new year to 8ºC / 46ºF in February to 11ºC / 52ºF in March. From the cool and wetter days of winter, the days are still short but the sun makes its presence known and the flowers respond accordingly.
Snow is unusual in Harrison Hot springs as the village is situated at only 60' above sea level, but pack a sweater, warm jacket and waterproof boots or shoes so that you can explore the beautiful surroundings.
